Resident Evil 7’s VR Support Will Be PSVR Exclusive For A Year

It looks like Capcom’s first-person horror game, Resident Evil 7, will be VR exclusively to PlayStation VR for at least 12 months, a recently unearthed promotional image revealed this week. While Resident Evil 7 will be released other platforms like Xbox One and PC, Sony and Capcom have apparently inked a behind-the-scenes exclusivity deal that prevents Oculus Rift and HTC Vive owners from playing the game in VR until 2018 at the earliest. Until this, Capcom had not announced whether the Windows PC version ofResident Evil 7 would support virtual reality headsets like the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. PlayStation VR launches on October 13 and Resident Evil 7 launches for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PCs on January 24, 2017.
