According to the Financial Times, Google is working on a new virtual reality headset to compete with the Oculus Rift, Gear VR, PlayStation VR and others. The new headset is expected to hit markets sometime this year, along with new virtual reality software for Android. Compared to Google Cardboard, the new device will have upgraded sensors, better lenses and a hard plastic casing, the publication reported.
