During the PlayStation 5 reveal event, the eighth entry in the Resident Evil series, Resident Evil Village, was announced. The brief trailer looks stunning as well as horrifying. As with RE7, this game will also be set in a first-person perspective and seems to involve running around a decaying old village surrounded by a frozen forest. RE7’s Ethan is still in the game and likely the main protagonist, but Chris Redfield also makes a return at the end of the trailer.
