Sony Hosting Livestream Focused On PS5 Games (UPDATE)

UPDATE 6/8/20 - Sony has announced that the PS5 livestream event will now take place on June 11 at 1PM PT / 4PM ET / 9PM BT. Sony cautions that the stream will be happening at 1080p resolution and 30 FPS (frames per second), meaning the games won't look as good in the stream as they ultimately will running locally on a PlayStation 5 system. Additionally, PlayStation recommends wearing headphones if you can, since, "there's some cool audio work in the show, and it might be harder to appreciate if it's pumped through your phone or laptop speakers."

UPDATE 6/3/20 - Sony has postpone the PlayStation 5 showcase to an unknown date after the recent events in the killing of George Floyd. This is there statement:

Original Story (5/31/20) - Sony has announced it's hosting a livestream this week. It will be focused on PlayStation 5 games. The stream will be on Thursday, June 4, at 1PM PT / 4PM ET. On a PlayStation Blog post, Sony Interactive Entertainment president and  CEO Jim Ryan outlined a few details on what to expect. "This digital showcase will run for a bit more than an hour and, for the first time, we will all be together virtually experiencing the excitement together," he said. "A lack of physical events has given us an amazing opportunity to think differently and bring you on this journey with us, and hopefully, closer than ever before. This is part of our series of PS5 updates and, rest assured, after next week’s showcase, we will still have much to share with you."
