The iPhone 4 And Other Products Added To Apples Vintage/Obsolete Product List


According to Japanese website Mac Otakara, Apple is adding iPhone 4 models, the13-inch MacBook Air (late 2010), 3rd generation AirPort Extreme, and the AirPort Time Capsule (mid 2009) to its vintage and obsolete products list beginning October 31. Products on the vintage and obsolete list are no longer eligible for hardware service, beyond a few exceptions. Apple defines vintage products as those that haven’t been manufactured for more than 5 years, but less than 7 years ago. While obsolete products are those that were discontinued more than 7 years ago. Each of the products added were released between 2009 and 2010.
