Apple And LG Team Up To Make The LG UltraFine 5K Display


Apple has announced that they are teaming up with LG to offer a 27-inch 5K Retina display to go along with the new MacBook Pros. The LG UltraFine 5K Display is 18.3 inches high, 24.6 inches wide, 9.4 inches deep, and weighs 18.7 pounds, which boasts a 27.inch, 5120-by-2880 resolution, 14.7 million pixels, P3 wide color gamut, and 500 cd/m² of brightness. A single Thunderbolt 3 cable (included) provides up to 85W of charging power to your MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports. And 3 downstream USB-C ports (5 Gbps) offer additional connectivity and power to compatible devices and accessories. The LG UltraFine 5K Display also sports built-in stereo speakers, camera, and microphone. You connect the display to your MacBook Pro via an included Thunderbolt 3 cable, which supports 5K video, audio, and data simultaneously  all while supplying up to 85W of charging power to your laptop. With macOS integration, you can control volume and brightness without the need for physical buttons. The LG UltraFine 5K Display. will set you back $1,299 and will be available in December. It should be noted that there’s also a 21.5-inch, UltraFine 4K Display for $699.99.
