Titanfall 2's Multiplayer Technical Test Starts This Weekend


Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts announced Gamescom that Titanfall 2's open multiplayer technical test will start this weekend. The test will start on August 19 and will be available for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players for 2 weeks. Those who participate in the technical test during the first week will be able to play 2 different multiplayer modes, including a 5v5 mode called Bounty Hunt that pits a team of Pilots against an opposing group and the Remnant Fleet. The other is an 8v8 mode called Pilots vs. Pilots, which serves as a classic Pilots-only option. 2 maps will be available, Boomtown and Homestead. The second weekend will feature everything mentioned above as well as a 6v6 mode called Amped Hardpoint. A new map called Forward Base Kodai will be added as well. 2 brand new Titans, named Ion and Scorch, as well as a various tactical abilities like Grapple and Pulse Blade and an array of weapons including a shotgun called the Masttiff and a dual barrel SMG called the Alternator will also be added in week 2. Titanfall 2 launches on October 28 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
