The National Videogame Museum opens its doors there this winter inside the Frisco Discovery Center in Frisco, Texas. The museum will feature an immense collection of the history of video games from then and now. The museum showcases over 100,000 games, consoles, and artifacts. Rare items include the only Sega Neptune prototype, the 1990 Nintendo World Championships cartridge, and an Atari Mindlink controller. (There are only 2 in existence) Visitors will be treated to more than 20 installations. Among them are the Pixel Dreams 1980's style arcade filled with classic cabinets. A physical console timeline provides a visual representation of the evolution of game consoles.
