You Will Soon Be Able To Export Rock Band 3 Songs Into Rock Band 4

Harmonix has confirmed that Rock Band 3 tracks will be exportable for uses in Rock Band 4. The team is working to have this process available with the December 8 feature update. Harmonix has noted that it is pproaching the expiration of its rights to sell Rock Band 3, so if you don’t have a copy of Rock Band 3 you have until October 30 to buy it from the Xbox Live Marketplace, or until retailers run out of stock. The studio also notes that any tracks from the Rock Band 3 disc with authored guitar solos will feature upgraded Freestyle Guitar Solo and Freestyle Vocal features. The Rock Band 3 export key will be available for $14.99 for people who have Rock Band 3. Harmonix said that it will be automatically verifying your purchase electronically, which means that you’ll need to have bought a new copy and played Rock Band 3 for the export process to work. Harmonix is still working on supporting previous Rock Band exports in Rock Band 4 and hopes to have that content available at a later time. The chart below shows what is currently available for export in Rock Band 4.
