The game's freeskate levels can have up to 20 people in game and uses dedicated servers, and as the name implies, you can hang out at these hubs and just skate around with everyone else or drop in and out of sessions with your friends. It should be known that the last gen versions (PS3 and Xbox 360) of the game do not include online play.
