Square Enix has announced that the Tomb Raider reboot has claimed a 3rd franchise record. The title already sold more on its first day and in its first month than any other game in the series. Now it owns the top sales spot overall, too. 8.5 million copies of the reboot have been sold across all 5 of the platforms it was released on. The title originally launched in 2013 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. A “definitive edition” arrived on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in early 2014.
