Sony's PlayStation Gold Wireless Stereo Headset for the PS4 (originally released in 2014) has received a update. Detailed on the US PlayStation blogs, the headset "maintains the great features you loved about the Wireless Stereo Headset 2.0" but has a new design that sees it looking significantly less bulky, while the over-ear cushions have been "refined" for more comfort over longer gaming sessions. The 7.1 surround sound is still present, as you'd expect, while the two noise-cancelling microphones are a brand new feature. In addition to the wireless USB dongle, you'll find a 3.5mm jack allowing you to use the headset with PS VR and any other compatible devices. The headset will be available in the US sometime this month and you can pick it up for $99.99.
