Metallica’s Cancelled Video Game Is An Open World Twisted Metal

Back in 2003, an unannounced Metallica game was in development by Black Rock Studios that was unfortunately cancelled. The game was to be titled Damage Inc.: Metallica, or something like that, an official name was never given. It was supposed to be a driving game set in a post-apocalyptic world and PtoPOnline has now uncovered previously unreleased footage from the game (which you can see below). The game is centered around vehicular combat, where you would be able to swap out and customize your vehicle, and you could even get out on foot and hijack other cars. The game was set to release on the PS2, Xbox and PC. Vivendi Universal was set to publish the game, however PtoPOnline believes licensing issues were a major reason why the game was never released.
