Minecraft Is Getting Chinese Mythology DLC In October

During Minecon 2016, Mojang announced that the console editions of Minecraft will be getting a Chinese Mythology Mash-Up pack, along with a large update on October 4. The Chinese Mythology add-on will allow players to "wander through the streets of an ancient great city" and "marvel at the dragons that dwell around the high mountains." The pack also includes 41 new skins and 13 themed music tracks, along with Minecraft's Battle mini-game that released back in June. The Chinese Mythology Mash-Up Pack will release across console platforms for $5. As for the large update, it will introduce new mobs, items, banners, terrain generation features like igloos and underground fossils, and more blocks such as frosted ice and beetroot. You can head to the Xbox Wire to read the full details. In other Minecraft news, Minecraft: Gear VR will be getting Xbox controller support.
