Twitter May Soon Be Making The Character Limit For Tweets Longer

Twitter’s 140 character limit for tweets has been apart of the site since its launch in 2006, but looks like that may change soon. Twitter is working on a new feature that will allow users' tweets to be longer. According to Re/code, the new limit for tweets may be up to 10,000 characters long, the same length as a Direct Message can be on Twitter. The new feature is finalized and is expected to be released at the end of Q1 2016. How this will work is still unclear. Twitter is currently testing a version where tweets appear the same way they do now, with the 140 character limit, but users can click to expand tweets and see more. What do you think of Twitter allowing tweets to be longer ?
