Apple Rumored To Announce 4K Apple TV At iPhone Event

Besides the rumored iPhone 8, iPhone 7s, iPhone 7s Plus and Apple Watch Series 3, the company will introduce a new Apple TV next month that can stream 4K video and highlight live television content such as news and sports, reports Bloomberg, quoting unnamed “people familiar with the matter.” A faster processor in the Apple TV update will allow the faster streaming; of course, you won’t get 4K resolution unless you have a 4K-ready TV. What’s more, Apple is testing an updated version of its TV app, that can aggregate programming from apps that already offer live streaming, according to Bloomberg. The next gen Apple TV is also expected to have HDR support. High-dynamic-range imaging (HDRI or HDR) is a set of techniques used in imaging and photography to reproduce a greater dynamic range of luminosity than possible using standard digital imaging or photographic techniques.
