The Nintendo NX Is Rumored To Use Cartridges

That latest Nintendo NX rumor suggests that ROM firm Macronix will be providing memory products for the system. The firm has suffered losses recently, but they’re confident that with Nintendo they will boost there outlook significantly. This has caused speculation that the company will be utilizing their new ROM chips in the NX. The chips are similar to those used in the Nintendo 3DS. Macronix has recently began testing on it’s newer line of 32nm ROM chips with a max of 32 GB of storage. For some insight, the Nintendo 3DS uses 75nm with a max of 8GB storage so these new cards won’t be used for that purpose. Unless the company is making lager 3DS game cartridges, these could be used for the NX. What do you think ? Would it be smart for Nintendo to go back to cartridges ?
