PS Vita Legal Settlement Offer Is Now Live

Sony and the Federal Trade Commission have announced a tentative settlement related to Vita advertisements regarding the cross-play feature. The offers for affected consumers are now live and they aren’t quite what we were told to expect. Check your email now. The settlement is open to those United States customers that purchased the handheld prior to July 1, 2012. The FTC deemed them to be deceptive, and while Sony neither accepts nor denies fault as a result of this settlement. The original announcement in November indicated 2 options for those able to make a claim. Vita owners were told they’d be able to choose between $25 cash and $50 PlayStation Store credit. You can choose between these 3 choices -
  • $25 cash (in the form of a check)
  • $25 PlayStation Store credit
  • 1 of 3 game bundles ranging from PlayStation 3 and Vita games
I honestly don’t know where the came up with the pricing for the bundles. For example the Action/Adventure bundle is priced at $92.95, when actually if you look up how much each game cost it comes out to around $60 for all on the games in the bundle. I have most of the games and the others don’t really interest me. I’m going to go with the $25 PSN credit, my money is problem gonna go there anyway. Which option are you going to choose ?
